1. Who we are

Bengal Welding Ltd ("we", "us") of 59 Bridge St, Wednesbury WS10 0AH is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about your data at Admin@bengalwelding.co.uk or on 0330 043 0504.

2. What we collect

• Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and the content of your message.
• Orders: your name, company name, billing/delivery address, phone number, email address and details of what you ordered.
• Payments: processed by our payment provider — full card details never touch our servers.
• Technical data: essential cookies needed to run the site (see our Cookie Policy).

3. Why we use it

We use your details to respond to enquiries, to fulfil and deliver your order, to arrange installation, and to keep records the law requires us to keep (such as VAT invoices). We only send marketing emails if you opt in at checkout — you can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Legal bases

We rely on contract (processing your order), legal obligation (tax and accounting records), consent (marketing emails and analytics cookies) and legitimate interests (site security and responding to enquiries).

5. How long we keep it

• Enquiries: up to 12 months after our last contact with you.
• Order and invoice records: 6 years, as required by HMRC.
• Marketing consent: until you withdraw it.

6. Who we share it with

Couriers and installation engineers working on your order, our payment provider, and our accountants and IT providers under contract. We never sell your data.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your data; to restrict or object to processing; for data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. Email Admin@bengalwelding.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you're unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
